Cold Coffee Shake Recipe

Cold Coffee Shake Recipe

By 14/08/2015

It's hot but I still crave for my daily cup of espresso!

This recipe is a classic for summer. Many Italians have it in the afternoon or after their meal as a refreshing alternative to the classic espresso.

If you don't have a shaker (I don't) you can use a blender instead. By shaking ice with coffee you will get a delicious and fresh drink with a generous soft foam on top. Add sugar if you like.

  • Prep Time : 10 minutes

Instructions

Make the coffee, add the sugar (if using) and stir well so it will dissolve nicely. Put the ice cubes in the blender, the vanilla essence then add the hot coffee.

    Dear Alida,
I don’t blame you for needing your espresso even though it is hot outside. I do the same thing, but I am a tea person, (I do have coffee once in a while) So instead of hot tea in the heat of the summer, I always make iced tea with lemon….It is so refreshing…Love your recipe of the Cold Coffee Shake…looks so creamy and luscious, filled with that coffee flavor. Will have to try this recipe…Thank you for sharing…Have a wonderful weekend!

I’ve always had this refreshing coffee in Italy, it is divine. In other countries they pile it up with cream or ice cream but I prefer the espresso and ice only.

Hi Alida! Come stai? Spero bene – immagino bene con questo caffe’! YUM! I love any kind of iced coffee. I will try this one for sure.

On another note, I found an email you had written back in February, and JUST now responded. Somehow I missed it when you wrote it. So sorry about that! Anyway…have a look.

Wishing you a fab finish to the summer. Baci.

PS – I did end up changing my blog name. 🙂
