It's hot but I still crave for my daily cup of espresso!
This recipe is a classic for summer. Many Italians have it in the afternoon or after their meal as a refreshing alternative to the classic espresso.
If you don't have a shaker (I don't) you can use a blender instead. By shaking ice with coffee you will get a delicious and fresh drink with a generous soft foam on top. Add sugar if you like.

Make the coffee, add the sugar (if using) and stir well so it will dissolve nicely. Put the ice cubes in the blender, the vanilla essence then add the hot coffee.
Whiz for about 20 seconds or until you see foam forming.
Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!
