It is holiday time and I am enjoying the sun at my local Italian seaside resort. The weather is beautiful: the sky is blue and the sun is very strong;ย  after so many months of rain in England I am making the most of this! I love not having to wear so many clothes all the time!
I am staying near a fishmonger (funny enough!) and of course, I could not resist getting some fish for lunch.
I got this little whiting, which my mum used to do for me as a child.
These little fish are cute and appeal to children. They are so small that you don't need to gut them and they are very tasty and ready in 10-15 minutes.
If you cannot find whiting, squid cut into rings is very tasty too.

  • Prep Time : 15 minutes
  • Cook Time : 10 minutes

    When I was about 11, I ate an enormous portion of similar fried little fish covered in garlic sauce and I ate so many that the following day…I was sooo sick. I know they are delicious, so delicious but I could never try them again. They are crispy and savory and fragrant…

    because they are so small you eat everything. When it is fried you don't even realize you are eating the whole fish. It is all nice and crisp.
