My sister made this bread.
All she did was mixing all the ingredients in a bowl, she then poured it into a baking tin and then straight in the oven: no kneading, no rising, no fuss. I love it!
This is a sort of healthy spelt bread which you can make if you are intollerant or have problems with yeast for bread making. Infact this is made using baking powder. My sister started baking this bread when she was suffering from candida yeast, a common yeast infection in the gut.
It has also yogurt and egg added which makes it moist and nutritious and it is ideal for breakfast with some butter and jam on top.
- Prep Time : 5 minutes
- Cook Time : 45 minutes
Put the flour, the baking powder, the egg, the olive oil, the salt, the sparkling water and the yogurt in a bowl. Mix well.
It is good to learn to bake when you are little!
You will find that the baking powder will react with the sparkling water. This is normal.
Pour the mixture into a standard loaf tin and bake for 50 minutes at 180C or 350F.
Let it cool down before slicing it.
