Orange, Aperol and prosecco cocktail…of love

This cocktail known as "Venus Blush Cocktail" after Venus, the goddess of love, is certainly a good one to go for if you are celebrating Valentine or even if you don't, it is quite nice. I usually don't do a great deal for San Valentino (as we know it in Italy) as it is far too commercial, so no presents, cards or anything like that for us but maybe, I would say yes to a nice home cooked meal. I take any opportunity to cook fancy food really or even to make a special dessert for the evening.
This cocktail is very simple to make, the deep red colour of the blood oranges makes it look quite appealing and it is very refreshing too. You too will get those rosy cheeks like Venus especially if you have a few of these! When I look at my cheeks right now I think I had far too much of it.. very nice though!

Thanks Angie, have a nice weekend!
looks beautiful Alida. Baci!
I have just the same philosophy when it comes to Valentine’s Day. A special candlelight dinner at home is so much more delightful than eating out! And this would be a lovely way to begin..
It would be indeed!
Mmmm un aperitivo delizioso!
