Ciao! I am back in the UK after a long break in Italy. It was great seeing my family again and spending some quality time together. As always it was sad to leave but school and work are calling me back! I cannot believe it is September already!
I’d like to share some photos of the “Frecce Tricolori” which every summer offer a great display at my local seaside resort in Lignano Sabbiadoro, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The Frecce Tricolori formed in 1961, is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian Aeronautica Militare based at Rivolto, in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli, just a few minutes away from my home town.
They fly as many as ten aircraft although one flies solo for the majority of the show. I love to watch them and I look forward to them coming every year!
As usual the beach was really crowded and there were lots of cheers and applause. Children seemed to get particularly excited with their little faces raised to the sky!
This is breath taking absolutely gorgeous… GRACIE for sharing Bella amazing photo and grateful to be able to see this.. just awesome!
1000 grazie a te per i tuoi bei complimenti mia cara!
Hi Alida!
I’m sure you’re glad to be home but I also understand how difficult it can be to get back to reality:)
That is one spectacular show! I am so amazed at the amount of people. Oh my goodness! I don’t know that I could be on a beach with so many. I bet it sure was fun though!!!
Thank you so much for sharing…
Yes my local beach is always packed and can be overcrowded especially during the month of August that’s the peak of the holidays in Italy!
The beach was really crowded yet so well organized!
Have a great day, Alida!
Great photos and glad that you all had such a good time in Italy. Busy time in the garden harvesting the pears – I’ve decided to bottle them in sweet spicy syrup so that we can enjoy them throughout the winter with cold meats, cheeses and ice cream. We have a bumper harvest of grapes this year, so have lots of recipes to use them up. Ciao!
Well done Sue for harvesting pears and great idea preserving them for the winter. Hope you have a nice holiday soon. Take care:-)
Oh my! What a show. I think I would get really excited seeing these planes as well. 😛 Thank you so much for sharing and welcome back. I know, can’t believe it’s already September and another new school year! 😛
