Have you been good so far this January? Did you manage to avoid sugary treats? Just recently it was in the news how sugar is the new tobacco as it can make you just as dependent as tobacco without mentioning the terrible consequences for your health.
That's sounds bad but nothing new. I know already that the more sugar I have the more I would want and when I gradually have less of it the cravings slowly (but slowly!) fade.
How about the good old saying "in moderation"? That's how I cheated today and when no one was around I sinned by making myself a gorgeous Italian hot chocolate!
I kept having visions of a thick and creamy Italian style hot chocolate I had in Italy over Christmas. And as I had to sin then I sinned in style and I had it with fresh gorgeous cream too!
I had to close my eyes when the delicious dark stuff entered my mouth... so good that it would just take my breath away! Good old hot choc you are an unbeatable pick me up, you are.
Hot chocolate was invented long time ago by the Aztecs in the XVI century and quickly spread around Europe, first to the upper classes and then when it became more affordable to anyone.
It is still so popular and how could it not be! I have used dark chocolate but you can use milk one if you prefer.
